Clarkson Suspended by BBC

Clarkson's the real life Roger Mellie/Krusty the Klown. He'll have them queueing round the block and laugh his wiry cock off.

That's your ticket to the top, folks. Chin the help and watch the dollars roll in. Fuck this species.

You have to let the yoghurt chill before knitting it ;)

Well the bbc will try and bring in someone like Chris Evans, the viewers will dwindle until it gets scrapped.

Meanwhile Jezza and co will move to another station, call it top trumps or whatever and make a fortune for their new employer ;0).

A quick word for Yorkshire police, how about you get your arses out there arresting the hoards of kiddie-fiddlers that infest your county in stead of sticking your f*cking oar in what was no more that a workplace tiff..............C*nts, get a sense of f*cking priority.

The RWNJs do make me laugh. They're always first to join the mob against someone they don't like calling for punishments ranging from the book being thrown at them to public stoning.

But when it's one of their own who breaks the rules they suddenly want the goalposts moved and paint that person as the victim of 'political correctness gone mad!'.

He punched a bloke at work and got sacked for it. Just like 99% of people in the country would. There is no defence.

Yes he'll go on and make more money elsewhere but this is the beginning of the end for that boorish oaf.

Jesus, I was going to say it didn't really matter as he'll soon probably have health issues that stop him doing anything too exciting, but apparently he's only 54?! I'd have guessed he was at least a decade older than that. He must have been drinking from the same fountain of youth as John Terry and Kanu

Punch someone at work = assault = get fired

No separate rules for the famous or the rich. We should be happy for once the right thing was done.

Absolutely. Would have been all too easy for the Beeb to brush this under the rug. Glad they haven't.

He'll be on Sky by the end of the year.

Will Sky want him?

They got rid of Keys and Gray quickly enough when they misbehaved at work.

I can't see how it'd do their reputation much good to employ Clarkson after this ranting and punching based sacking, and also the previous gaffes involving language which some people regard as offensive.

Sky has a reputation as a middle of the road, family entertainer to consider.

A million people signed a petition to support him and that's just the ones who could be arsed. He has millions of fans around the world and millions of fans = ££££. They will be fighting in the street to sign him up.

The BBC had their hands tied they had to sack him but this could cost them hundreds of millions in the long run.

lert's assume that every one of the petition signers bought a tv licence (clearly nonsensical, I'd like to know how many were older than 16)
that is just 4% of the licence holders.
96% didn't sign to support him.
Speaks volumes.

I said previously, I bet Netflix will park a dump truck full of money on Clarksons drive.

They have a two billion programming budget and regularly throw fifty million at stuff like Orange Is The New Black and Marco Polo. Top Gear is one of the most watched programme in the world, and Netflix have previously hinted that it does great numbers for them.

The Top Gear budget which they do all of their crazy stuff on is around seven million.

Netflix also means similar protection as the BBC - no advertisers to consider, direct content control, and a worldwide audience.

Seems a match made in heaven, especially as you would expect them to give TG an increased budget.
Excellent point. Clarkson being binned by the Beeb is music to Netflix's ears, the budget, to them, is a few executive lunches, the BBC has lost a massive commercial draw. For what it's worth, I never watch it, that little shit Hammond makes me want to petition for the re-introduction of hanging, drawing and quartering, but business sense doesn't appear to have been foremost in this decision.

Speaks volumes.

Top Gear has a worldwide audience of 350 million and only 1 million signed the online petition.

So 99.7% of Top Gear viewers didn't sign it.

Some belting statistical analysis going on here

Your all pissing around using some flaky petition as a standard.

If that is what you have to try and reason TG is not popular then i wish you well.
Me for example, i would not sign a petition that is trivial but i used to love tg. I paid the tv license and i made sure it was on and would not miss it.
Now i am your average bloke so how many more are in my bracket of loving it (well i used to not now) but cba signing a petition ? I would say a hell of a lot.

Yes a lot of teens watch it but a hell of a lot of working adults do to and watch it religiously.

James May say's the sacking is a tragedy,no you sad twat people dying in a plane crash is a tragedy
What a load of fuss over a middle aged bully who got what he deserved

Now that would be some top gear.

Why are loads of people (not necessarily on here) defending him?

I guarantee if someone punched you at work that you would be happy to see them sacked.

Most would hit them back and leave it at that. Disagreements happen all of the time between people, especially when booze is involved. Many on here are of an upbringing or a generation where hitting somebody isn't a huge deal that people need to get their knickers in such a twist about.

I come from that sort of background and I have hit a few people in my time but when an incident happens in the workplace there can only be one out come and sacking him is the only course of acceptable action any boss could take.

Clarkson is a bully and he wasn't laying into a 20 stone truck driver and he was also taking advantage of his position as a Star

That's the license fee going up or a lot of job cuts. I'd say the license fee increase.
