Clattenburg (Update p59 - not selected next weekend)

This weekend two major, game changing decisions would have been overturned and the correct decision made. Rags goal gets disallowed, red dippers win the dippers derby. The decisions would have been made within 15 seconds in both cases, probably quicker.
Personally, I would have a video ref check every goal in every game.
Any video ref looking at that would have given a foul anyway, the liverpool player that headed it down was climbing all over the defender.

I've had time to think about things and although he is a very poor referee I think Chelsea are acting scandalously and it's not the first time the club have acted appallingly.

I read this and it makes you think how far and how low they will stoop to get what they want.

same could be said for clattenburg on both accounts

Why do you think Chelsea are acting scandalously?

I think they are lying about what the referee actually said and they are trying to whip up a shitstorm to deflect away from their own recent conduct

I have a question.

Where are the sky cameras usually set up in that area? surely they were waiting for the managers to interview and if something kicked off they'd have tried filming it or at least mentioned it after the match?

something not right with the whole story. Three sides and all that...

Not that I am a PR expert but I would think the best way to get past this would be not to get involved in another racial investigation which includes the football clubs name

Personally, I don't think Clattenburg used racist language. Whether he called any of 'em twats, or something along those lines, I don't know, but I'd be surprised if he said anything remotely racist.

All referees would know in their own mind that they, unlike players, aren't untouchable. They'll have seen the likes of Suarez & Terry get off lightly but will know if one them are guilty of a similar offence, they're fucked and it's career over.

Based on no evidence. Fair enough.

I tend to agree with you on this one. I remember how they acted when they beat us last year. The way they were beaten on Sunday was wrong, i think they stepped over the line and these remarks are an arse covering exercise to save a heavy fine maybe points deduction for attacking officials, not forgetting the missile throwing after the offside goal.

true or not he'l never ref a chelsea game again, how could he one mistake and they could argue he has a agenda against them, i suppose its one way to get rid of the twat
