Clattenburg (Update p59 - not selected next weekend)

for me the interesting thing is going to be the inappropriate behaviour allegation, i cant wait to see how his fellow referees view this. if he gets banned for foul language then i am sure that they could kick up a real shit storm given what they put up with.

How would the FA respond if the ref's suddenly sent off every player who told them to fuck off. ( i'm looking at you Rooney & Scholes). I'm sure if they all got together and decided to send players off for foul and abusive ( inappropriate ) language then you could easily see 20 - 30 premier players sent off in one weekend.

Now this would be be piss funny and how the hell would the FA deal with that.

That's definitely the most interesting part.. Scholes wouldn't survive 10 minutes in any game. Ronney looks much calmer recently, he improved his attitude but Scholes...

Could see Yaya having problems with it too. Not sure if he swears at them but he often has problems with refs.

But surely it’s their choice to let Shrek get away with it, game after game?
Most weekends there are Prem players booked for dissent, but he has 2 yellows in a season and a half, yet every time you see him, he’s in the face of the officials, screaming at them.
Why do other players get booked but he doesn’t?

this is my point, i believe that referees allow this to go on as it has become part of the game, however it has to be a two way street. If Clattenburg has said something and gets dragged over the coles for it then maybe the ref's will get firmer with the players. i would love to see it even as a one of protest. if all the refs got together and said they will have a zero % tolerance to foul language and sent of every player who swore at them then you would see games being abandoned and chaos in the premier league. I'm not talking about discent i am talking about swearing.

For what it's worth i think if this was done in the right way it could be a master stroke for the referees and would force the FA to deal with the issues we all know are there.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but going off what has been printed, we have allegations of swearing and inappropriate behaviour against the referee for his alleged on field remarks. This is then followed by Chelsea storming into the officials room, these ranks are then swollen by Terry and security had to evict people. Jumping ahead to the findings of the investigation.

1. Clattenburg is found guilty and result end of career.

2. Chelsea are found to have a, falsified the claim of racial abuse, swearing whatever, and also of threatening the official (to break his legs). What would be an appropriate punishment? Fine, Games behind closed doors or loss of points, and would the authorities have the bottle to try and stamp this behaviour out once and for all.

From what I have read, I cant get my head round Chelsea making this up knowing the potential penalty with their previous. Nor can I see Clattenburg coming out with the alleged remarkds despite his previous with Bellamy.

Exactly how can Chelsea protest about inappropriate behaviour when they have players and club offiicials barging into the referees changing room and threatening physical violence?

The FA are weak, they are cowards. they could deal with all of the issues within the game if they had the courage to do so, the problem is the main culprits are the big boys (and i include ourselves in this as well ) and they have too much power in the game. What they fail to see is that the clubs only have the power as the FA have given it to them.

the FA remind me of the middle aged couple who complain that there unemployed drug addicted thug of a son is out of control, but failed to do anything to give them bounderies when they were growing up.

Does anybody smell a rat here, the media have now deflected everybodys attention away from the real issue from the game, that is that Clattenburg was as corrupt as hes ever been and handed the scum 3pts on a plate.
The Govan piss can has got away with it again hes sat with his feet up at Carrington pissing himself with Ferdinand pouring him a nice glass of red

If Clattenburg is found guilty then he is finished as a referee. But this cannot stop here and further investigation has to be taken into whether or not the referee's bias actions had influenced the game.

Clattenburg might be very happy if he gets sacked. There wont be an investigation into how biased he was towards Bacon faces team
