Apologies if already dredged up previously, but wasn't it Clattenburg that Leslie took exception to after hearing say to his assistants "watch out for that Argie twat Zabaletta"?
I don't know but, I'd suggest you perceive that to be a racist incident, so you're well within your rights to report that to the police as "potentially racist" so they can thoroughly investigate it for you!
Have we got any quotes for him saying that? I'm at a loose end.

I've not turned anything up either and it's doing my head in because I specifically remember reading about some choice words Clattenburg is alleged to have made about Zab. I thought at the time that there were quotes attributed to Hughes about both Clattenburg's comments to City's backroom staff about Bellamy and also his comments about Zabaleta but after a fair bit of searching I can only turn up his complaints surrounding the Bellamy comments which leads me to think that the Zab stuff was additional info that came from an unofficial source that wasn't repeated in the media, only on online forums such as this.

Does anyone else find this bit particularly disturbing from Graham Poll in the Mail on the Clattenburg race remarks thing:

I don't know if Clattenburg feels that way, whether he knows he is completely innocent. He has said that he will co-operate fully, of course he has to.

He will have got on the phone to Mick McDonagh and Simon Long, his two assistants and his select group referee colleague, Mike Jones, who was acting as fourth official.

All three will have been on the referee communication system and heard every word that Clattenburg said during play. He will have wanted to speak to them, not to 'get their stories straight' but to re-confirm that he said nothing inappropriate.

Does anyone believe that part in bold? As if his colleagues would grass him up in the first place, if he said anything untoward.

I've been told that he's definitely guilty of using racist comments towards Mikel but proving it is going to very difficult.

The thing that makes me laugh though is the amount of Chelsea players that heard the comment used towards Mikel yet heard nothing when Terry shouted across the pitch at Ferdinand?...........weird eh?

Richard Keys said on Keys and Gray this morning he'd said " Shut up you monkey " It wasn't said very loud, I'm not actually sure he knew he was on air. It was around the time they interviewed Keith Curle.

A rag mate of mine made he laugh when he said, "Chelsea FC, standing up to racism since last sunday" haha

They've apparently made a bedsheet banner with that message on it, to be displayed during the game on Sky tonight.

Right, that's probably where he got it from, far too witty for him!

Exactly!

The thing I find ironic it was Mikel who was stood right in front of Terry when he shouted at Ferdinand, he even looked around but never come forward during the investigation.

Selective hearing?

I seem to remember him saying that about a ref, but whether it was Clattenburg I'm not so sure..

Done a bit of digging, I've got the time, and I think Zaba's been sent off 3 times for us..

The 1st was v Liverpool at home in 2008 for a rash challenge on Alonso. Ref was Peter Walton.

The 2nd was v Wigan away 2009 for 2 debatable yellows. Ref was Alan Wiley.

The 3rd was v Arsenal and it was rescinded.. Ref was Mike Jones.

It might not have been in any of these matches and it might also have been the 4th official who was alleged to have said it...?

I'd like to find the original story though as it's doing my nut in now who it was!

I've done a piece for the Daisy Cutter on the whole Chelsea/Clattenburg thing - goes up tonight I think. I'll get Ste to stick a link on here. Think you'll enjoy it ... :)
