He's not corrupt.

He's just shit at his job and has too much of an ego to be a competent referee IMO

what every week? and only to the benefit on the rags, season after season?

do me a favour.

Re: Clattenburg has form

He fancies himself - always wants to be the centre of everything he's involved in. He's arrogant and corrupt but it looks as though he's slipped up this time.

Re: Clattenburg has form

Any **** who wears a wig and has a private plate on there car, who thinks he is ZZZ list celebrity (and I use that word loosely) shouldn't be anywhere near a football match never mind refereeing the fucker

Enjoyed reading that Billy.

In my humble opinion, if Terry hadn't been done, I don't think Chelsea would have made a complaint from the weekend. However, in some respects, I'm glad they have, IF it is proved correct, particularly in light of the earlier allegation on Talksport that he called Mikel a monkey. In any day and age, that kind of thing is utterly unacceptable.

That's exactly what he called Mikel but it's getting it to stick is the problem

Re: Clattenburg has form

its easy to say that Clattenburg is bent but the thing is how many more are taking
the brown paper bag full of money it just dont add up that only the ref's are bent it must go right back up to the top and the FA

it stinks alright and the fergie years at utd have been clear to see with fergie time
missed pen's by refs ball crossing the line players sent off or not fergie picking what ref utd get at home

but i will say 1 thing fergie will step down the day the premier league bring in video replays

sorry if there is a thread along the same lines as this but I dont know how this bloke can still earn a living of refereeing in the best league in the world, he is an utter joke of a man

Merseyside derby incident
Clattenburg came under heavy criticism following his controversial officiating of the local derby match between Everton and Liverpool on 20 October 2007 [22]. During the match, he made a number of poor decisions including declining Everton's appeals for a penalty in the third minute of added time, with the score at 1-2, when Jamie Carragher pulled down Everton's Joleon Lescott in the Liverpool six yard box.[23] [24]. He also seemed to have been influenced by Steven Gerrard in his decision to send of Tony Hibbert as he initially took the yellow card out to book the defender, however after an interaction, albeit a brief one, with Gerrard, Clattenburg changed his mind and sent off Hibbert. As a result of the match, he was suspended from officiating the following weekend's Premier League matches as a result and has never refereed an Everton game since.

He is best known for disallowing a goal by Pedro Mendes for Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in 2005, which replays showed had clearly crossed the line, that will be the one that Roy Carroll had to dig out of the net, the one that was more over the line than Lampards against Germany during the WC.

Not only should he never of ref'd an Everton match again, I'd of gone as far as to say any match ever again.

I've been banging on about this for ages. The Merseyside derby proved beyond any reasonable doubt that he'd been "bought" by someone who either had a lot of money on a Liverpool win (or risked losing a lot if they didn't). It was clearly a bent performance.

There has also been a lot of talk about his relationship with Thaksin Shinawatra and his suspension was certainly nothing to do with his supposed dealings over his failed business. I would be interested to know how he managed to come back from being sacked as a professional referee, known to be corrupt.

You cannot say that unless you can prove it. If you can where is your evidence that proves it beyond all doubt?
