Clattenburg watch. The derby...

He performed as he did in the euro's and with stood their many calls for a penalties, credit where it's due

No idea how he deals with rooneys screwed up face swearing at him, after the yellow Rooney walks past him "FUCK OFF", so where is the fucking respect stuff here then? You don't need to be a lip reader to see him say it, what are the FA going to do? I would love it if Clattenberg lost it and started to smack the shit out of him with no team mates coming to help xD

Haha that i would pay to see,the only thing that let him down is never booking rughead until late in the game,he does seem to play favourites with him

I can only assume at first glance to him you are drawn to his big stupid hair missing the elbow shattering some poor sods eye socket, beyond that it is an absolute mystery to me why he is simply not pulled up more.

I've watched it a few times and can't understand how anyone thinks Bravo committed a foul on Shrek? He took the ball cleanly and caught him a bit on the follow through. Great tackle.

It's simple really..
City player tackles scum player and wins the ball... Foul.
Scum players elbow, spit and kick City players all over the pitch, not forgetting to tell the ref to fuck off...no foul.

This, his foot was high but didn't go in with studs although these days theres a few refs that might have seen it completely different. Its typical if the rag media to distract the public from the schooling we gave them in the first half.

He was alright in the sense that there were no real game-changing decisions. I thought MOTD called it right on the two penalty incidents the rags were moaning about. Bravo played the ball cleanly from what I could see and Otamendi had his back to goal when it hit his elbow. The Bailly one on Otamendi wasn't really clear either but the kick afterwards should have seen a red.

The one thing that was annoying was his refusal to issue a single yellow to Rooney for a number of nasty fouls. That kick at Bravo that finally earned him a very belated card could have been a straight red. Even Republik of Mancunia's match report said Rooney should have gone.

Exactly,I can't understand how it's even a talking point. It wasn't over the top or two footed and he won the ball. If that was donut thief on one of ours yesterday I wouldn't be calling for a penalty,it was a 50/50 ball and Bravo won it cleanly. It's amazing what the sycophantic media and pundits will come up with to excuse the defeat yesterday.

Thought he did OK yesterday to be honest. Yes, maybe he could have given a penalty against bog brush on Nolito, but equally he could have sent Bravo off. (I didn't think that was a red card challenge personally, but I've seen a lot less given.)

And OK, so he should have booked shrek at least twice. But he didn't slant the playing field massively one way or another. We went in with a lot of strong challenges that a bent ref would have blown for.
What about the penalty and sending off on Otamendi, clear as day to me ?

Not to me. I've seen them given, but it was easy to miss.

Had the ref been clearly biased, there would have been lots of opportunity for us to be unfairly treated, and overall I think Clattenburg played it straight. He could easily have sent Bravo off, if he had an agenda. But he did not.

If it was a sending off offence he could've but it wasn't.I'm certainly not gonna go by the agenda driven pundit opinion.Wasn't even a foul !

Yes but if he was as bent as a lot say then he could have. He didn't. Other than not booking Rooney early he didn't get much wrong. Refs never get every single decision right.

It was a 7/10 performance for me from Clattenburg yesterday and in that type of game that's not bad.

NBC-SN was 3-2 no foul or penalty on Bravo. Robbie Mustoe, Kyle Martino, Lee Dixon no. Robbie Earle, Graeme Le Saux yes.
On Bailly/Otamendi, both Dixon and Le Saux said penalty. They never discussed in the studio (funnily enough) so don't know about the others.

Considering Rooney and Fellaini could both easily have got red cards, United could have finished with 8 men. Hard to argue that we even vageuly got the better of the ref decisions (although I agree there was no agenda or Clattenburg would have sent off Bravo).

This could be a problem regarding Pep not getting involved in questioning the ref's decisions.
If asked about the Bravo challenge or the Otamendi handball, he'd have just replied, "what about bailly with a clear foul from behind or shrek not being booked for persistent fouling and mouthing off at the ref", then I think those incidents might have got more airtime.
As it is, they make accusations and Pep says "no comment". The media can then peddle the myth that the rags were robbed.
Keeping a quiet dignity just leads ludicrous statements going unchallenged and then being accepted as fact if repeated enough times.

Only difference this season is that if it's a goal scoring opportunity and a penalty is given, it's a yellow card rather than red so long as

I believe Bravo would have still received a red if the pen had been given as the foul wouldn't have been for a goal scoring opportunity but would have been for excessive force and not being in control whilst tackling, same as Vinny was done for a couple of seasons ago. Some people seem to think you'll not get a straight red for a foul in the box this season but it's all dependent on the type of foul.

Think he did well to be honest we got a bit lucky on the bravo one and they got lucky with the bailey one and Rooney's constant fouls. Overall don't think he was for or against us.

May not be a bad thing in the long run because if they all really think that we were lucky to win that match then perhaps they won't see our boys as potential champions until it is way too late!!!

So the Turnip isn't brought up for his forearm smash and BBBB for his errant Elbows an gobbing. What a surprise!
