You never know what people are going through. Claude deserved better. May he Rest In Peace.

Sometimes a quick text or phone call to someone can change their outlook.
 
All very sad and messy. RIP to Claude. This is the generation we live in with unrelenting anonymous social media accounts delivering abuse and depleting mental health with little positive outlook for help.

As others said AFTV and Arsenal FC will have a lot to answer for...
 
Very sad news this. His DVD comment was foolish and he had to leave AFTV but he arguably paid too much of a price for that with the way Robbie threw him under the bus.

Claude's rants were legendary and many of us could see a bit of ourselves in him when he went off on one as we've all felt that way at some point when our team has disappointed us. But one thing I also noticed about Claude is that while he was ranting about Arsenal being shit again, he would often be magnanimous enough to give the opposition credit too. That's something a lot of fans fail to do when slating their team.

I knew he'd been struggling with mental health issues for a long time and I think watching Arsenal and the AFTV stuff was his release from that.
 
It's hard to blame AFTV or Robbie without knowing all the facts. Claude came out in the past saying being on AFTV near the beginning helped when he was in a really bad place, so who helped who? We are judging from behind a Social Media channel, we don't know everything that's went on, we dont know the relationship and friendships these guys have had away from AFTV, apparently he was renting a flat from one of the AFTV ladies, so we don't know how they've helped each other, so think it's wrong for anyone to judge. Just sad that this has happened to yet another guy.
