I think it was Kolarov who should have given him the shout as he was positioned behind Bravo but Claudio turned to Otamendi to say he would appreciate a bit of communication.
either way he was spot on. the lad no chance, he had to get something on it. the save of the follow up is what we have been looking for all season. well done I say.

I feel for him a bit. He's clearly not been good for us, but don't think he's as bad as some make out. He's very highly regarded in Chile and Barcelona, and you don't have the career he's had if you're shit. Don't know if its confidence or the culture that he's struggling with, but few could argue it's been a good move. Actually think he'll stay another season as back up to a new keeper, but a return to Spain might be the better option for all concerned.

There's a Bravo thread where all this can be discussed though!

I think his confidence has been dented by the sheer aggression our refs allow in the penalty area.
He is used to being fully protected so fear is apparently something he cannot handle.

Much improved since recall think he will still be with us next year working with Rulii, Gunn or some other young keeper with a view to drop to number 2 during the season

Thought Bravo played really well on Thursday. Credit where credit is due. Real shame that after a performance which would have done wonders for his confidence he gets injured.

That hasn't really been an issue though, there's been a few ropey moments with aerial balls but no more than the norm.

The issue has simply been a lack of saves.

Because he shot straight at Bravo, when he could have picked his spot either side of him

I assume from your comment you are implying it was a good save?
the thing is here is a month ago that goes straight through him.its progress. I wouldn't have him in our side but if he is and he saves what comes at him where is your problem?

He can never win with fans like you. He competently dealt with the consequence of the parry going to a rag.

But it was the unnecessary parry that gifted them the chance wasn't it? Listen... I don't hate him or jeer him. I would love it if he turned it round and became a great Keeper.. but I think it's gone beyond that. Sometimes things just don't work out

I will put you and anyone else who shares this view straight right now.

No one grassed him up although reporting his post would have been warranted given it was clearly against the code of conduct we have.

By all means say whatever you want but remember that whilst you have that freedom on here, you dont have freedom of responsibility for what you post and wishing injury on a City player is not only fucking moronic, its against our rules and it will be dealt with.

That's fair enough bud. Point taken

I agree there has been small improvements in the last 3 games. But he has looked shot of confidence and the defenders look nervous when he's there. Pep must think that too otherwise he wouldn't have dropped him. I hope he can turn it round and it would be great to see pundits and the media eating humble pie. but I can't see it

Actually, De Gea's a bloody good keeper, and one of the key reasons why a very ordinary United side are breathing down our neck. Frankly, I'd have him in a heartbeat.
But I'm going to call this one, sorry. It's Pep I'm annoyed with. Ok, he gave him his run out in the FA semi-final, fair enough. But it is incomprehensible to me that he selected him for this one. Can you imagine the utter fury till the end of the season if that cross that he palmed out had gone in from the follow up and they'd won 1-0?

Yes, I can imagine all too well. I agree that picking Bravo is egotistical. His form in no way qualifies him above Caballero. I really hope that Pep can get over this and accept that everybody including him can get it wrong. Bravo has not turned out to be a good buy. A club that signed Mangala, Rodwell and Sinclair must surely accept that they sometimes get it wrong regardless of the manager. Better for player and club that both sides recognise this and move on.

Bravo's recent form is better than Caballero's.
