In some ways I agree with you, but how many times have we had this conversation about a Bravo goal? Pretty much all of them are goals where you could say, Oh that's a bit unlucky, he's nearly saved it or he's been exposed by the defence, or something else which is mitigating....and yet it keeps happening over and over to him and it doesn't happen when Willy's in goal - certainly not anywhere near as often.

He's cursed.

He creates a bigger pitch, Hull allow greater gaps between their players and space to exploit, and Hull's players have to run more as a consequence. Get rid of him.

He's cursed.

I does sort of remind me of the way Bony got really really unlucky in his first 6 months with us. He hit the post a bunch of times, the ball would drop just centimetres out of reach, I think he slipped as he was taking a shot a couple of times....No matter how hard he tried or how much good he did, he couldn't score, and the pressure built up and built up until the fans turned against him and his form just sort of evaporated and he turned into last season's Bony.

It feels the similar with Bravo. He was brilliant in his passing today, but after 85 good minutes he gets a deflection a yard away and the clean sheet is gone. He never got a reasonable save to make to boost his confidence, it was basically his only defensive action of the game apart from a punched cross or 2.

All he needed was a little bit of luck today, he'd have had a great game and a clean sheet to back it up and confidence would be on the mend, but he couldn't get it.

This! I haven't seen any one goal that was clearly his fault this season. But all these save-able balls that ALL wiggle through, adds up. Those who hate him will call him names and whine.

I have seen Willy make saves on balls that might not have been his fault if they went in. Haven't seen Bravo make any. And that's the problem.

He'll be the backup next season. Hope the Benfica kid comes in

Had nowt to do, passing was good. Right at the end there was some poor defending and a mixup that he'll be blamed for by the usual parties and was absolutely in no way his fault that we conceded from. Not really the game to bring him back with
End of the day, if he gets his confidence from now until the end and makes a shout to be #1, he saves us some cash. I'm not a fan, but if he does that then fair enough. Will watch the 90' tomorrow and see.

Probably a nice bloke, good pro and as proved in the right setting, a quality keeper, however, the experiment should be concluded now, or at least until top 4 is earned... call it luck or variables such as size, it just isn't meant to be for lad, it was still the right decision from pep though as it has allowed the squad to get familiar with playing out from the back....

Thought his distribution was excellent today and hopefully his confidence will grow over the next few games

Spot on. Great post.
