Claudio Bravo - 2016/2017 performances (continued)

What happens if we get to the final? Don't think this is quite the same situation as when we've had a "cup goalie" as such. He's out of the first team because of his form so does that mean Bravo's entitled to keep his place in something as important as a cup final? (especially given Willy helped get us through the earlier rounds anyway). Whatever the case, you'd defo want Cabellero in goal in the event it went to penalties.

The thing is, Willy has had the same thing done on him a few times. And Hart too against better oppositions like Messi who can be unmarkable. They have a better chance of blocking and saving than Bravo at the moment.
One could argue though that his benefits outweighed his deficits today. It's not that black and white (better keeper at saving = the better we perform) as some posters would suggest with our GKs.

Worst keeper I've ever seen at city can't believe some suggesting he's not at fault or is unlucky.

Take a look at the bloody replay, the ball clearly takes a significant deflection and the defence is way out of position but Bravo is at fault?

It was shit defending all round but he could have done better too. I would put the blame collectively on the midfield, defence and him for that goal.

That tonight was an absolute howler. If you don't think a keeper, any keeper, should be saving that then you rate him even less than I do. If you are laying the blame elsewhere, finding excuses for it going in, you are basically stating that you have zero expectation of our keeper making even the most basic of saves.

Absolute bollocks. There was nothing significant about the deflection at all.

Lol I'd have what you guys are smoking but I think I'll pass. I'd venture to say that he would've made the save had it not been deflected but to each their own reality.

Even without the deflection, and it was a slight deflection at the same point of shot, with that movement bravo did to save it the ball would have still gone in. I think using the deflection card is scraping the barrel here. His reaction was poor.

BTW although I think he can't stop a running shot to save his life, I totally disliked the sarcastic cheering at the game tonight.
Criticism on here is fine but at a game?
Stoical silence please blues - not raggish sarcasm.

Shock horror the opposition are going to get shots on goal, thats what the keeper is for, most shots at him are a goal, that was lame tonite
On the plus side he does have good distribution but that doesn't make up for not saving shots
