I guess this inst possible as it hasn't happened before, but technically, if you buy a player using their buy out clause (in Spain for instance), we pay the player and the player buys themselves out of their contract, meaning they are technically a free agent.

With out window being shut, but others open, would that mean we would be able to buy a keeper from another club?

As you said in an earlier post the decision to sell Gunn was risky as it left us with only two experienced keepers.
Now we only have one and at the moment are an injury or suspension away from a crisis far worse than the KDB injury.
A few posters are making light of it in this thread but it is a serious situation.
We will probably now have to take the best free agent available whoever that is.
Very poor decision making by the club, could potentially derail our season.

I don’t think anyone could predict this. Maybe Muric could not have gone on loan but in any other season he wouldn’t have played. Just incredibly unfortunate.

According to The Mirror, Prem rules allow City to sign an emergency back-up keeper (free agent ?) and obviously the search is underway.

Well it could have been 10 times worse.... It could have been Ederson.... leaving us with Bravo in goal for the season with no back up

If Ederson got an injury wouldn't we get special dispensation to bring in another keeper on loan? We did this a few years ago.

Yes it is unfortunate but we lowered our insurance cover to an unacceptably low level and are now facing the consequences.
