Give up with the drama-queen outrage lol. Bravo is a highly paid pro at the top of his position. He isn't our keeper out of charity. If he is shit (he is), anyone has a right to call him on it when the spotlight falls. If that offends you, turn of the internet and go and sign up to the Mary Whitehouse foundation, otherwise please grow up a few decades and behave like an adult.

My own opinion on this is more positive. Bravo is crap. This gives Pep an excuse to bump up a youth/3rd keeper to the front line. It may be a blessing and we find that our backup is actually a hidden gem.

I wouldn't play Bravo in the reserves. The only reason pep keeps him is that he can't throw two keepers under the bus.

Didnt know he'd thrown anyone under a bus, youve mixed him up with PEG.

I'm not in a witch hunt here for Bravo, I like the guy, and he has accepted his role as 2nd keeper to Eddy fantastically and is helping bring him on and improving him.

However, the slight errors he makes in games do unsettle the defense. One of which i attribute to John Stones losing his confidence and spoiling his 2nd half of last season. The game in question was Stones return against Bristol City. Earlier in the game Bravo conceded an unnecessary corner (similar to Cech against us last week). This nervousness unsettled the back four. later in the game JS came over to the left back area to sweep up a high ball, but rather than his usual action (with Eddy in net) a simple pass back to the keeper, his lack of faith in Bravo (in my opinion) lead him to (wrongly) hoof the ball in the air, which led to a goal for Bristol. JS lost his mojo from there on in and took a long time to recover.

That said, Bravo has played some fantastic games for us and pulled off some amazing saves and spectacular distribution.

Ok, setting bias to one side and aside from his error strewn Euro 2016 and even worse World Cup 2018, De Gea is the best in the world in my opinion. However, I couldn't see him in a Pep team because he doesn't have the required skill set to be a sweeper keeper. If he does have the sweeper keeper ability, I haven't seen it. Pep wants his GKs to be comfortable with the ball at their feet and a forward running at them (and leaving a space). It's an essential part of our way of playing - we don't do standard 'stop start'. So Pep is looking at a limited pool of players that tick those boxes. Bravo knows how to play in a Pep team.
