Claudio Bravo

He'll be under the microscope more than any other player we've signed. He's replacing a club legend who is not retiring, an ever present in our greatest triumphs in recent memory, the England number one. A player who probably has good mate in the press.

Every game so far we've had pundits telling us 'Hart could do that just as well' when Willy has played a wayward pass. This guy will get the same. Every cross he misses, any long range shot that goes in, any wayward pass.

It won't just be pundits, it'll be fans, especially the fans, as the pundits we can bat off. The first goal that he concedes low down to his left will cause a meltdown on here. There'll be arguments in the stands.

I'm looking forward to seeing the guy and seeing what he brings to the team. Exciting times. I feel for Hart, but we move in, and I'm sure he'll get a starting slot for another team in the league.

When he makes a good save, I might say joe would of saved it better. Or is that going to far?

That exactly why Joe can't stay & fight for his place.
Media will take every chance to attack Pep & he knows it...
Personally think in January willy has to be replaced by a keeper better with his feet, if Bravo got injured & we played with willy against a top European team with his passing we're in trouble!

Nothing we don't suffer from permanently anyway.

The main reason we are signing a big character like Bravo is that it won't phase him, he's been playing for Barca in front of 90k fans every week.

As someone has already said Bravo is going to be under the microscope from the get go, but with him having already played for 1 of the biggest clubs in the world in Fc Barcelona I am sure he can cope. He has won all there is to win at club level plus 2 Copa America so is a winner. Sad to see a genuine club legend go, but football stands still for no one.

Thing for me is that Willy is a decent keeper and is willing to acknowledge he is back up. Trying to get a "better" keeper to keep the bench warm and be content will not be an easy task. Willy probably knows he is currently making errors in each game, and I'm sure he's keen to rectify them.

Personally, I'd be happy to keep Willy as 2nd choice

Doubt Joe has any desire whatsoever to 'fight for his place' when I don't remember that ever not being a euphemism for 'being second choice', and second choice at any club won't do if he wants to stay England number 1. On the other hand, we know Caballero doesn't mind being second choice. I thought he might follow Pellegrini to his next job, but right now it doesn't look like Pellegrini has a next job so Willy can stay.
