Claudio Bravo

This is ridiculous. Enough. So much energy wasted. We knew Pep was gonna put the axe to AT LEAST one of our legends. It's Joe. Joe doesn't fit. He has to go. IT''S NECESSARY. It's not debatable. Claudio will suffice. How great were we yesterday? Yea... well we just fucking inproved the squad. I'm sorry @karen7 (one of my favorite posters) and everybody else who's being sentimental but let's embrace this please. Too much negative energy. We're coming into our golden era. Let's please enjoy every minute!!!

Totally agree, there is no room for sentiment, football at the highest level is ruthless, if Pep wants him out,,,he go's simple as.

It's not been a good few months for joe, but if he really wants to stay with us, he needs to get his head up, work his nuts off in training, and show Pep and the players he deserves his place.
At the moment he is walking round like a broken man

I think most fans want to see our players treated fairly and with respect. I suspect Hart is so frustrated because after 10 years he doesn't feel he is really being given sufficient chance to change and prove himself?
Fans understand Pep wants to play a certain way, and Hart hasn't shown that ability yet but if you're in any job and not performing, a good employer would give you a reasonable chance to put it right? Maybe Hart can't change but he deserves a proper chance.

Can only imagine it's you taking the piss.

There's no difference for keepers no. It's a myth. Keepers get fouls just as easily in the PL.

So that's your story and you're sticking to it? The physical challenges for goalkeepers in the PL is in no way different to La Liga?

Well I admire your persistence in sticking to your guns if nothing else. If you get chance try and have a look at David De Gea in his first season in the PL and compare it to his last season in La Liga and get back to me.

Also have a look in the difference in his physicality in his first season in the PL compared to now. Then compare the level of performance. Maybe it's passed you by?

He seems as good a fit as any for the role Pep requires. Sure he's not the tallest but he's not short of agility. The soone this is done the better.

With Bravo seemingly on his way to us,apparently Pepe Reina has "offered" his services to Barcelona.
Well that's very kind of him.

Interestingly enough, he's since come out to deny it. Same with City regarding Pruna. Lesson is, don't go for the clickbait

We don't know all the ins and outs of what's happened since Pep arrived.
Joe is a very vocal and opinionated bloke. Perhaps Pep feels that he might get some resistance from him regarding tactics and style.
I get the impression that if you're not 100% committed to what Guardiola says and how he wants to progress, you're gone.

De gea was a whippet and 21 and inexperienced.

You're just another heathen that thinks the Premier League is special and physical. It's simply not.

Watch any game and see the protection a keeper gets. You're talking out of your arse.

Nail. On. Head.

Completely agree. He's Chilean ffs! You can't tell me the Premier League is any more physical than South American football.

More headless chickens perhaps but the physicality isn't an issue. We see it time after time; will Silva be able to adapt to the physicality? Is Fernandinho too small to play a defensive role? Would Messi do it against Stoke?

As Pep recently said, across the world it's 11 vs 11 and it's still the same sport. The English exceptionalism about physicality and pace is bizarre and perhaps goes some way to explain why English football has falling behind others for some time.

They may well receive some protection but the Premier League is more physical than La Liga and one of the main differences is the amount of high balls that go into the box. We might not do it, but plenty of clubs still do. Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch. it's changed a lot, but still I think a goalkeeper is the single position which will see the most difference in the style of play.

Percentage football. Sam allardychio and Tony Pulis. This is still a significant feature of English football.

Correct. It's a load of old tripe fed by the media. I've never bought it.

I actually think goalkeepers get more protection here than they do on the continent.

And there are many old school English fans and players who don't see the need in goalkeepers here having good distribution stats. It's not 'necessary'. It is, it improves the game on the eye.

Lumping it 60 yards is ingrained in English goalkeeping. It's why our fans are finding it so hard to accept that Joe is going because they don't think he's done anything wrong.

So because West ham hit a long ball to Andy Carroll from time to time, that makes it more physical? How did you arrive at that? West Ham play some lovely football.

Crouch is a shit example. He hardly plays and Stoke have changed there game massively over the last 3 years.

And again percentage football, whatever that means, has nothing to do with physicality.

It's a myth.

No, but the Premier League has a distinct style that differs to La Liga. I'm sure Bravo could handle it, but nevertheless there is a diifference.

Don't think he has done anything wrong, lumping it 60 yards just isn't peps style.....end of.
