Liverpool bought Karius, unless they bin Mignolet (understandably) I doubt they would go after Joe

Nonsense, they found him kicking a tin can round Stanley park in his bare feet and brought him through their youth system.

So if we really are getting him that must mean Barcelona have decided that Ter Stegen is gonna be nr1 in every competition from now on. Shame really, I though Barca would be stupid enough to sell him instead

Please no ! if we are really going to fuck Hart off at least get our first choice.

For me Joe should be our number 1 regardless of who we can go and get, i think it will be a huge mistake to let him go.

Surely by reading all the posts on here you understand why Joe might be on his way. It's not because hes a bad keeper, it's simply he's being seen as a bad Pep keeper.

Would've preferred Stegen for his age, but Bravo is a top keeper in his own right. Could be our number 1 for the next 2/3 years, and then Rulli could take over if things go to plan.

If Pep wanted to keep Hart over Caballero then he would have started him yesterday. Hart is on his way out and Caballero will stay as backup to whoever signs. That's the way I see it anyway.

Interesting bit for me was seeing those stats from a few pages back that Bravo was No1 in world with ball at his feet - it was so evident yesterday how important this is to Pep's way of playing.

This is the tweet that corrects MCFCjustsayin's earlier post stating that ter Stegen has been signed by us and that it will be announced in two weeks. A lot of folks - myself included - wondered why, if the TS signing were true - that there was going to be a 2 week delay.

Now that it's been clarified that we supposedly have signed Bravo, the delay makes more sense. Barca won't want to agree the trade until TS is fit once more - thus the delay.

At any rate, the rumor could still well be false - but it now makes more sense.

ESPN has a recurring segment where Gab Marcotti rates the likelihood of trades happening or not. It's a 0-to-100 percent scale with "0%" being no chance and "100%" being certainty.

On the Gab-O-Meter scale, I'd rate this a 50% - quite high for a trade rumor.

Im sorry but 17 plus mil for a keeper who is 33 is crazy. Pay the extra for ter stegen and we are sorted for the next 10 years no one knows how quickly age will take its toil on bravo. Both of barcas goalkeepers have stated they are unhappy being rotated surely that should bring the price down for who ever doesnt start. Barca only paid 10 mil for bravo who is now two years older and potentially unhappy come the start of the season anything above 10 and they are taking the piss, I would make a move for trapp, psg have signed areola and sirigu is still kicking about speaking of which sirigu could be a cheap shout his passing stats were similar to bravos(on average 8m longer and 7% less accurate) before he lost his spot to trapp.

Stegen's release clause is almost £70m though, so that's quite a hike up from £17m. Easier said than done to just "pay the extra" for him.

Exactly! Plus right now Bravo is the better keeper and we have one for the future in Rulli.
