Claudio Echeverri/On Loan at River Plate

Hard to disagree. He's certainly nowhere near first team standard here.
Yeah but he's our player and he needs to start learning how to play in our/Pep's system.
If he's a quick learner, he may be able to help us out this season.

True but I meant physically. He needs to be stronger in possession. He's alright, I don't see the hype but I'm not dismissing him as sometimes I don't really understand a player until I see them in our system

The way River and the fans have acted towards him over the past couple years has been shit.

He made his choice back then to not renew for a larger release clause. Get over it.

While it's true he still needs to develop physically, I'd rather he train regularly with Pep, get bedded in properly here and the first team here and get on a proper strength and conditioning program at City's world class facilities.

CE called up to the Arg U-20s for 2 friendlies in Bolivia, sane elevation of 1365 ft ...

"Dos amistosos contra Bolivia, en Santa Cruz de la Sierra, el jueves 14 y el sábado 16 de noviembre"

Pretty anonymous tonight. Subbed off at 63 mins with the score 0-0. River went on to win 3-0...

In his defence, I have to say that the standard and style of play over there is lower end Championship (at best). Pinball with poor control and wayward passes galore.

Could've had a goal tonight had the striker crossed instead of shooting. Though he somehow nearly turned the deflected shot in with his head.

In summary, not the answer to our prayers. Jury still out on how good he could turn out. River fans think he's a flop and over hyped. Bitter? Maybe.

Doesn’t sound too exciting this lad. A bit like Kayky, I predict he will never play for the first team at City.

I don't think we will see him for a couple of seasons for sure.

He will go to one of our CFG sides to toughen up.

I think you should come and see River's facilities before you imagine you have better.Do you imagine some of the greatest players who ever played the game over a century didnt have top class facilities. Many of you underestimated Julian before he joined and didnt appreciate a World cup winner when you had him.Perhaps the light is beig turned on now.
Etcheverry is a very young player with potentially a very big future. You dont play for underage Argentina teams unless you are very good unlike other countries. His problem is his agent who wanted money now and the pibe will pay.
