At least the Rose or Rivers have been ours before so to say and will not require justification.

My fear is we end up with some crazy collage in an attempt to satisfy all parties. Worse still poor Dr James may need to do another series of lectures trying to explain any new badge to the proletariat.

ah okay that makes sense. I do worry we are going end up with some horrible badge though ,when i think we could just modernize the old 1930s badge onwards. there seems to be a core idea amongst city fans which is to have ,the ship, the rivers, circle, full manchester city name, all of which are on the old badge. i would like to see something like the manchester bee ( albeit only a small part of the badge )

btw have these talks been filmed ? or the core information going on the website ?

An eagle , rose, rivers, bees, boats, 1894 in maroon, gold, white and sky blue. What about the 3 stars, won't someone think of the 3 stars. Oh and forgot the cotton, we must add cotton. If it doesn't feature cotton it's a disgrace. The cross is a must, nearly forgot that one
 
Really hope the club will come up with a couple of designs and put these up for fans to vote, but probably won't happen

btw, should go back to the rose badge
 
Should have stuck with the old badge.. utd have never changed their badge..it's their identity..like the old badge was ours..some idiot decided let's have an eagle and 3 stars..that robbed us of our identity..and now it's we are going to change and modernise??? Just give us back our old identity..end of.

which old badge we have had many?

To those who think that the old badge is not possible due to whatever legal reason, if
you go on the City Voice site and check McfcManchester21`s post of 21/10/15 you will
see that he gives a link to an article wherein the alleged owner of the old badge
states that we can use it if we want to.
 
I came into Manchester today and listened to the Blue Tuesday podcast with Gary James taking about the badge. He mentioned the eagle. When I got into Manchester we went to near the crown court and there are statues of eagles on the front of the building. I've never seen them before. They look a bit like the eagle on the badge.
 
People here are flippin' eaglist and it's not acceptable in this day and age. Next they'll be saying they all look the same and love chicken.
