Club Badge (merged)

I know people are saying that putting "FC" beside "CITY" in that design of badge would take attention away from the word CITY, and that curving CITY would make it look odd. Is there some reason why they couldn't mimic the early seventies badge and have "MANCHESTER CITY F.C. " curved around the upper half of the circle?

'The usual colour'...except it's not the usual colour used to represent manc rivers on any earlier coa's or badges....so in that regard it's seldom seen, both literally and metaphorically cause blue on blue aint that most legible of combo's on something seen to be needed to be represented...unless of course the blue on blue is a precursor to to a blue shorted kit....sorry Gary but your little line above sounds like crap.

Water is blue. More facts & points of interest next week. Thanks for watching.

Nah I have to disagree there, Gav did it a few pages back(page555) and it looked instantly better to me, its about consistency and balance which I feel it falls a bit short of.

I love it,the club has nailed it,a badge that delivers tradition and identity......unlike the one it replaces,it screams City and will serve us proud during our very succesful future.
Well done to those involved :-))

Love it. It's City, it's ours and I for one won't let any negativity manifest over such a thing. Press are jumping on any kind of bad publicity. We are feeding the media monster. Not me. Love it, it's City, it's original, it's retro, it's our City, it's Manchester, and Manchester is ours. The City is ours.

Manchester's rivers used to be the colour of whatever chemicals and shit had been poured into them. Anyone remember the explosion on the Ship Canal (Bob's Ferry?) owing to chronic pollution?

I know mate i know. But you have to admit putting, green and purple rivers with shopping trolleys and spare tyres sticking out wouldn't really work either. Plus, with the good work done by English waterways they may run clean again for the next generation.

I felt the same till i saw it without. Now i love that Manchester is prominent at the top.
Same. Manchester. City. They don't actually look that much different.
