Club Badge (merged)

I think there's little more to be said about the badge until we see something official now, so I'm going to to leave you with this until then:

According to the communiqué, it is part of the 'evolution' of the badge, so irrespective of what design actually materializes, it presumably won't be forever before we're all discussing it once more.

I'm convinced they already have the new badge designed and it will closely resemble the other badges in the City group. This survey was just a way to convince us all that this is what we have asked for and they are simply giving us what we want.

The ridicule of the stars is a typical rag response. The people who get wound up by that are likely the same people that refuse to use the word massive in football conversation. It was made clear from the start that the stars were purely for decoration, just because other teams have or have since added stars to their badge to symbolise something it doesn't suddenly mean all stars on all badges have to symbolise something.

That's probably true to a point about United fans, but I've been asked by fans from other clubs what the 3 stars are for. I told them I didn't know. As for being purely decoration, they were pointless. More like an after thought. A badge is supposed to represent the club, it's history, and the ties it has with the local area, and or the city, and not decoration.

Eh? I'm not moaning, I'm laughing. I'm pleased we are changing the badge and I'm pleased the club have got a bit of PR amongst the fans.
Fair enough. You do go 'HaHa' a lot though. It's been a worthwhile exercise for expressing views and you can't expect the club to say how much influence the fans' views have. I think it's unfair to say it's just a PR exercise but neither is it a phone-in your vote show.

1976 again Manchester COA

So during our last purple patch of winning silverware, we either wore the Manchester Coat of arms, or no badge at all.
