I think that's part of the point though. People on here have been trying to blind me with science on this badge issue. Using terminology that only designers know about. I feel that talks down to me as its almost an insult to my lack of intelligence on design language. Keeping it simple and on basic language terms allows me to partake in the discussion. Either that or show me the badge the club will release against the badge with these 'designer principles'. Then i can make an informed choice by looking with my eyes.

As long as the latin has gone I'm happy. Didn't mind the chicken, didn't even mind the stars, but I have always had the old badge on my car, badges etc.

Things I don't like are cartoon type of design, no FC, the word CITY not curved and the shield is way too big

The club is obsessed with branding the club only as CITY.. website, artwork for matches, even the announcer on match day calls us CITY ... ffs we are Manchester City FC .. not CITY!

The owners respect our past and are shaping our future. We should to a fan be delighted with them. Look at what's
happened to the likes of Utd, Liverpool, villa, Leeds , Sheffield Wednesday since their owners have had them.

I have to say I was expecting much better, NYCFC got a better badge than us looking at them side by side. It's not that the eagle's gone or that there's a red rose which I never wanted in there... it looks so plain, the three stripes don't have enough contrast and that overlap makes it look kind of wonky(even the font is curved on the top and straight and bold on the word CITY). If you are going to go with a plain/minimal design it should look sharp clean and bold imo it just doesn't look the part for me.

Not a fan if this is legit(can anyone confirm if this is official yet?) but it is only a badge at the end of the day.
