did it with NYCFC ... personally not a fan, prefer the white outer band, not the blue.

Looks like we'll definitely have the new badge on next season's kit then. I wonder when they will change the signage and fixtures around the stadium, campus, bridge etc? It's obviously going to be a pretty big undertaking, possibly all done over the summer.

Also I wonder when we will start using the new badge on digital platforms, website, social media etc? It would be fairly simple to change these straight away on boxing day, but maybe they will leave that until the summer too?

It would seem sensible to wait until the summer to change everything, but it's going to be a weird period between boxing day and the end of the season where we're trying to tell the world we've got new branding but continue to use the old one.
 
i'd think nothing official will be seen physical until after the season, things might be phased in bits and bobs but most of it will do in the summer. Plus gives the club time for a 'cooling off period' in case the reaction is ..... let's say .... like what happened with Everton.

Because I am afraid the "ship in full sail" and "three rivers flowing" mean we'll get something like the ones here and I don't like those.

Thankfully it won't be long now before we know tho

to me, the ship has always been in full sail .... as in it always has never had sails closed up .... thats why i think its just some creative way to describe what we have had ... i dunno ... we will see.
 
I don't think the teasers were to be taken word for word. Just creative ways of teasing an aspect of the badge instead of just having a blue circle with the word "ship"..
 
Pretty pissed we're getting a 'new' badge to be honest. I, like most of us, love the old badge. But the current one means a lot more than just a badge to me. It was there when we were shit. It was there when we got bought. It was there when we beat united 6-1. It was there for the FA Cup, Carling Cup, and 2x Premier League's. It was there to build a global status. It has so much meaning behind it, and especially now we're starting to get mentioned with teams like Barca, Real, Bayern ect.

Oh, and I've got the fucker tattoo'd on my back. Another bloody reason.

Couldn't have put it better myself. At least the club gave the fans a chance to have our say.
