Club Badge (merged)

The badge has now been seen by a lot of people who work at the club. Not wishing to get anyone in trouble, but if someone's "mate" has seen it, can you tell us has it got the inner shield? Do you think the majority of posters will be happy with the final design? Thanks and merry xmas :-)

I'm quite frankly astonished it's not been leaked by now

You know what mate, I think the club only leaks what it wants to leak. The kits leak every year so the club can get honest feedback from fans. Talk of tattoo removal of the eagle gets leaked to consider fans views of the eagle disappearing from the badge. News of Pep coming here leaks so agents and players around the world take notice when deciding on their summer moves.

The Chinese investment? Not a sausage. Same with the unveiling of the new badge, the club want to carefully stage manage the unveiling with good quality, hi res images, they don't want the world to see the first picture of it being a badly lit picture from a mobile phone. I would assume everyone who has seen it have not had the opportunity to take a picture of it.

only have to wait 5 days, waited 20 years with the eagle badge so its no drama.

was waiting to see if there were anymore teaser emails today regarding Shields etc. if there isn't, i would expect a circle centerpiece with just the ship and the 3 rivers. with the CFG Rings around it.

That's my only fear left, that there's no central shield. Melbourne's badge obviously doesn't have one, dspite the Melbourne COA having one.

But on the other hand, every City badge in history has had a shield. There was even the question on the consultation about which we preferred out of the traditional shield in your design, or the existing one.

The M.E.N poll showed the round badge, ship, rivers and traditional shield were the 4 most popular elements. We're confirmed to be having the first 3 elements, fingers crossed on the 4th because the designs without the inner shield look really awkward and unbalanced. The traditional inner shield is a must for me.
