Club Brugge (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

It is blindingly obvious to all but an idiot that the R-32 playoff matches are not part of the Group Stages.

The matches will continue after the transfer window has closed.

So there is no doubt that any new signings will be able to play against Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
Then there are a lot of idiots on here. I was one, but now that I've seen the UEFA clarification that must make me a genius like you.

Tell me, Einstein - what bearing does the fact that the matches extend beyond the transfer window have on the situation? You think that UEFA have created the ruling just to allow teams to roll out all their shiny new signings? Seriously?

That's one of the strangest criteria I have seen for going to a game.

We didn't have a shot on target in the 1st half. You might have found that acceptable. The 0-1 scoreline might have been unfair but we played an awful first half, and it's silly to suggest otherwise.

I will agree that we are in a period of rebuilding, it follows that a number of our players are past their best...

It's not a criteria for going, but its one of the reasons why I don't miss going to every game any more.

That's my point. We know players are past their best. The players know that. The club knows it. Something is being done about it.

Endlessly moaning about ageing midfielders is just pointless.

I've watched the kovacic goal a few times now and can't understand why their keeper didn't dive for it, if that had been ederson he would have been hung drawn and quartered on here, just looks dodgy
It’s quite simple, the goalie was wrong footed. If you replay two more times, you will see the goalie had a slight leap to his left and it was not the fake left leap in PK but a true shift of body weight to the left as the left was not covered well. When the ball went right through the legs, the goalie does’t have any momentum or anchoring point to dash to right. He was basically stoned. He could not get to the ground with any meaningful reach in time. Eddie had a similar stoned moment when Brugge shot to his left just a foot too wide in the same game.
