Not many good ones about.

In fact not one good enough who is British.

Unless you believe Paul McCarthy reviewing the papers on Sky Sports News who has his finger on the pulse as he nominates as great British managers.......

.... Roberto Martinez and Gus Poyet

You really couldnt make it up

There's no way that Saturday's performance was any kind of an attempt by the players to hang him out to dry. Do you think that the likes of kompany, hart, clichy and Barry would give up Cup winners medals?

The players knew Mancini wouldn't last the summer a long time ago. And they were telling people. Friday's news would have been no shock to them.

Have to agree with the first part of this, anyone who actually thinks the players lost on purpose to get rid of Mancini is a bit thick in all honesty

There are a lot of people responsible for our performances this year but as is football the manager takes the rap

I think Mancini has a limited shelf life with every club because of the way he manages. It works well for a while but then the players get tired of it. I'll never believe that any reputable player would intentionaly try to lose games to get the manager sacked. It's much easier to just leave. I do think that his negativity and criticism in the media etc.. has an effect on the players. I just think it wears you down and makes going to work less enjoyable. Anyone who's been in a bad work envirnment knows that it will effect your porformance. I just have a had time believing it hasn't had an effect when soo many players have underperformed this season.

Agree with the first bit, and not with those who say the players didn't try. The effort looked OK to me, but the application looked hopeless, and whatever you think of Mancini he hadn't a clue how to counter Wigan's game plan.
