Club World Cup - Summer 2025

Has anyone mentioned …. you can drink beer while in your seat ! AND, in the case of Atlanta there are micro brewery options other than the usual American flavored water type beer.

In fact, for those in the cheap seats at Atlanta(“miles from the pitch”) there are open plan bars that you can drink at, on the 2nd level, with great views of the pitch (first come first served)

Surely this is reason alone to support this tournament [emoji2

Plus it might help to calm tbe nerves of Blues that are scared to go to the US cos Trumps in charge. ;)
I would like to wish everyone all the best and hope they enjoy the experience at the tournament. My experience visiting the Yankee stadium twice for baseball and to watch New York Fc was every city fans nightmare who loves football and its passion. Baseball, well its as bad as any sport could be and the match I saw New York fc play was watched by a crowd I could only associate with a theme park in Orlando.Sorry for my negative thoughts but I was even asked my age at the bar at the baseball and I was 58 at the time.I am 64 now and still love going to City week in week out enjoying a drink with mates in a pub before heading to the the game and even though things have changed sorry this razzamatazz that USA offers is not for me although yes I did try it.

BUT BUT BUT …. you’ve got to love being able to drink in your seat and they never run out of chips(french fries) [emoji23]

Re Crowds : I used to live in Orlando and went to a few games. Had to give it up due to the soccer mums screaming for a penalty when one of their team was cleanly tackled IN THE CENTER CIRCLE [emoji15][emoji23]

Being asked to show ID differs from state to state.
In Massachusetts I get asked every time I buy beer in an off licence or order in a restaurant- and I’m 62.
In Florida they don’t give a shit unless you look under 30.
I went to a gig in Baltimore once and had plenty of beers before the gig not to want to bother with any during the gig. There was a bloke checking ID’s on the door and you got either one of 2 coloured wrist bands depending on if you were over or under 21. I’d left my ID in the hotel and the bloke wasn’t having it. I suggested he give me an under 21 wristband as I wasn’t interested in having a beer but he wouldn’t let me in without ID. I had to go back to the hotel which fortunately was 2 mins away and get my ID. I was 45 at the time.

Wow imagine Rodri back playing with the form we are in now I’m very confident.
Tbh I just want to see Rodri on the pitch again, missed him so much this season.
And Maybe get Haaland back in for it.
Should be good

Inc all 3 of our group games?

23 of the 63 matches will be shown on Channel 5 as well as on Dazn – 15 group games, four last-16 ties, two quarter-finals, one semi-final and the final. The remaining 40 games will be shown exclusively by Dazn, which has committed to making every match in the new expanded tournament available free-to-air globally via its app.

Yep, cheers, I’d seen that much on X, but wanted to find out if it was confirmed if ours and Chelsea’s group games were included in that.
I assume/hope so, but was hoping for confirmation.

I wish you hadn’t told me this.

Anyone bigging up this nothing competition is a lunatic.

None of broadcasters wanted to pay any money to show it, DAZN were gifted $1bn dollars by Saudi Arabia to pay FIFA for broadcasting rights and oh guess what, a week later the 2034 World Cup was awarded to Saudi Arabia.

It’s all bent as fuck, it means nothing, half the teams in it wouldn’t get out of the championship.

The extra football will ruin us next season, we’re not even playing in sky blue, it’s in fucking America, it’s not on free TV and the tickets cost about 5 grand.

Who gives a fuck.
I didn’t but then someone just posted that you can booze in your seat.
