Rodri needs some football in his legs and head, as he’s definitely a second and a step off the pace. It’s quite hard to worry about his competition. Players could do with a bit of rest anyway before the season.

Imagine what the fee would be if they had to buy the rights to the PL!The dinosaurs in the English media have made fools of themselves as usual. They are fixated on the past like so many of our politicians. No wonder the press and broadcasters are mostly failing commercially. They seem incapable of change and modernisation. The entire concept of BBC Sport is flawed. They don't broadcast any images from our national sport apart from the hoplelessly outdated Match of the Day. They don't have coverage of the PL, CL, most international matches, the Championship, not even non-league football, no foreign football, and no Club World Cup. A joke of an organisation. The BBC has faded as football has grown into a global success. And yet we have to pay for this sub-standard coverage.
We need to beat Juve on Thursday to avoid Real in the last 16 as Real will probably not lose to RB Salzburg.Anyone know the permutations for our likely opponents in the knockout stages?
There’s a good chance the left side of the draw will include PSG, Bayern and Chelsea. Possibly Inter too, so second place (right side) might be better even if it means Real Madrid next round.Anyone know the permutations for our likely opponents in the knockout stages?

I think they will want to avoid the left side if it’s stacked with European teams. Both us and RM might try to avoid it if there’s 4x big names in there already so yes, good chance we’ll meet. We might not get to play a South American team which will be disappointing.I've said it before and I'll say it again. If we beat Juve, Real will end up finishing 2nd and we'll play them. If we lose or draw with Juve then Real will win their group and we'll end up playing them. We can't avoid those bastards.

Real could still be 2nd in their group with a draw with Salzburg if Al-hilal win with a 3 goal marginGotta beat I’ve to be #1 now!
1 more goal and we could have gone through as #1 with a draw!
Regardless, RB Salzburg & Real Madrid will know who will be 1 and 2 in our group and who they want to face!
If we end up 2nd, the Madrid DRAW or WIN means we play them.
If we beat Juve, we go 1st, do Madrid would have to LOSE to play us!
In short, if we WIN against Juve, Madrid would have to LOSE to face us in the Round of 16!
Haaland could have made it 10 all by himself, but he was not alone in missing hilt-edged chances to put it waaaay out of sight!
Real will struggle to finish 2nd without losing, which will probably put them out.I've said it before and I'll say it again. If we beat Juve, Real will end up finishing 2nd and we'll play them. Think we will avoid them. If we don't, we will give them much more of a game than the last time we played them.We can't avoid those bastards.
