I consider myself very lucky to have been young when all this was kicking off.

Town was great then, we used to live for the weekends Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays out and about. In fact, the whole of the North West was buzzing from Shelleys in Stoke to Shaboo in Blackpool. For a short period in time it was mental everywhere. How I got by on the little money I had god knows. Its a blur but I wouldnt change it for a thing.

Very true Stoke, Leeds, Huddersfield, Blackburn etc But Quadrant Park in Scouseland wins it for anything out of town during that time:

Done a lot of clubs out of town including Sub Club Glasgow,Back to Basics Leeds and Angels in Burnley. But the one that stood out for me was Kellys in Portrush, was based over there and it was manic.Every weekend we were up there off our faces then down to Circus Circus in Banbridge for the allnighters after.

The amount of Squaddies in there was unbelievable!

You also had Cloud 9 and place mate 7,i think it was cloud 9 that changed to the Konspiracy >

No, Cloud 9 was on Cross Street opposite the Royal Exchange. Komspiracy was on Fennel Street at the outside of The Corn Exchange. It used to be Pips - Joy Division did their first gig there in 1978. In the 80's before Konspiricy it was called The Playground
