I was at Norwich yesterday and the amount of cockneys there or 'norfolk' blues was ridiculous! Getting the train back to mcr last night a big group of city fans got off at Nottingham, fair enough if you've been a life long city fan and aren't from manc but these 'cockney Blues' seem to be increasing. Getting more like the rags every season.
I was born in Wythenshawe and taken to Maine Road by my dad and grandad. I moved south with work in the late eighties. My son was born in 1989, and started school when United were becoming a prominent side, when kids were starting more and more to wear United shirts in the south. I took him to games when I could, bought him every City kit going, decorated his room in City Wallpaper, City Duvets etc etc... What should I have done, raise him to support someone else, allowed him to follow the crowd and follow United, or raise him as a blue. He has never lived in Manchester, but makes about 10 - 12 home games per season, and now takes his son (who will also probably never live in Manchester). I do hope these kids and the thousands like them are not counted in as glory hunters. Personally I feel if a kid is going to support a successful team, then let him or her support my team. Let them spend their money with my team, and let them spread the word to their offspring. Who cares, a fan is a fan and the world is getting smaller.
That's not the reason I think you're a lesser City fan.as I dont have a Manc accent I am classed as a lesser City fan by a certain section of our support

I've lived in Manchester for 6 months of my life, I've never supported another team in my life, but as I dont have a Manc accent I am classed as a lesser City fan by a certain section of our support, let alone fans of other clubs, despite the majority of the games I have attended being 'away' games for me. I have given up going against the grain and arguing my case, I dont give a shit what other people think, and I just claim I used to be a Chelsea fan until the takeover now. I know, those that know me know, how much time and money I have spent on City over the years, nobody else really matters. Match going fans should never be worried about who they support, because they support their team, its the armchair plastics that have never been and that dont really understand their club, that I cant be doing with, no matter who they support.
I always read your posts in a Newfie accent.
I don't have a problem with your sink-pissing quota. It's the paucity of the expression "fucking rag cunts" from your everyday lexicon that lets you down. An average of twelve times a day is, quite frankly, pathetic. That's not the reason I think you're a lesser City fan.
