Cockney blues

Once you go "rack", you never go back.

I was born in Wythenshawe and taken to Maine Road by my dad and grandad. I moved south with work in the late eighties. My son was born in 1989, and started school when United were becoming a prominent side, when kids were starting more and more to wear United shirts in the south. I took him to games when I could, bought him every City kit going, decorated his room in City Wallpaper, City Duvets etc etc... What should I have done, raise him to support someone else, allowed him to follow the crowd and follow United, or raise him as a blue. He has never lived in Manchester, but makes about 10 - 12 home games per season, and now takes his son (who will also probably never live in Manchester). I do hope these kids and the thousands like them are not counted in as glory hunters. Personally I feel if a kid is going to support a successful team, then let him or her support my team. Let them spend their money with my team, and let them spread the word to their offspring. Who cares, a fan is a fan and the world is getting smaller.

No point justifying it mate, he's a prick. Is it up to him whether someone can support city whether they're from manchester or not? He's gonna cry himself to sleep now.
