Cockney blues

I'm from Manchester orginally but have spent half my life away from the place in Herefordshire and London. I personally believe all City fans should have a genuine connection to the club and, in fairness, some affection for the city too. It's where we are and it's what we're about. Most Blues I know have this.

It is sad to see people without the greatness to welcome other human beings as fans of Manchester City. It is the definition of small-mindedness if you ask me, and a sign of something fundamentally wrong in the way of thinking. I feel sorry for you.

dont understand all the plastic shit, and yes i am from manchester 1st game late 60s, wherever in the world if i meet a city fan then its great to talk to them if from london glasgow belfast brisbane, they are all the same to me, a fellow blue, it might be true that there are a number of dickhead blues out there and there is but if your a city fan then your ok by me.
and the tourist thing the more the merrier as they bring shit loads of money to the club, you would never get me wearing a half and half scarf ever but if they want to come to see our stadium and team then great welcome give us your money and enjoy your day out.
Some of you need to get real and back to basics.

isn't it what we took the piss out of Utd fans for over the years?

I don't really go to games anymore as I feel uncomfortable speaking with my south Midlands accent. other city fans used to say I must be mad travelling that far to watch that crap back in the old days. Now I can feel daggers when ever a manc hears we speak. I just know what they're thinkin.

Attitudes are a lot more relaxed nowadays, if you go to matches you'll hear people speaking all sorts of different languages, let alone accents. I am Season Ticket holder & despite having a Kentish accent, I have never had a problem. My son is also now a Blue & I also take my daughter to the ladies matches & the odd Academy match.
