I thought Palmer was very good but a bit Mahrez at times last night tbh. But the overall ability is obvious & the great added bonuses are he has good pace & the ability to run for 90 mins.

100% he is more complete,its just the quality/experience issue.

He is a competitive warrior we could do with some of that in the first team squad if it is controlled and focused.

I was so impressed with that performance. In that wind, to continue to play passing football at pace was excellent. So many good players in that team, could we honestly see a day in the next three years where half the first team are graduates? Maybe gradually the bench will get filled more and more with them and recruitment policy be dictated by their potential. If we could bring even 3 or 4 through + Phil that would be a real achievement. Tommy Doyle, CM, Cole Palmer, wing, Braaf, wing, THB, CB. Delap can certainly take care of himself. He never stopped running last night and other than a tendency to be a little greedy he looked the part.

My focus was not on the match or the outcome
but on the performance and individual behaviour of Palmer
as a leading example for our 1st teamers. Textbook run.

Great performance, spoke very well afterwards.
I agree his decision making, and pass choice and timing was out sometimes, but think that they are encouraged to have more touches than the youth team of a few years back.
