Cole Palmer

Don't blame the lad for wanting a piece of the pie after seeing some of the numbers floating around Chelsea in the last few months.

Let's not pretend it's anything other than money though, he'd be no nearer the first team there than he is here!

Being happy that we've won a load of trophies and being disappointed at lack of academy players making it into the first team are not mutually exclusive.

In seven years we've only had Phil and Rico properly make it.

That isn't anywhere near good enough IMO.
To be fair you have to be some player to make this team, never mind a young kid learning your trade.

it does seem odd that our younger teams sweep up the honours but hardly any go onto be first team regulars at City. From a business perspective the academy seems hugely profitable and maybe that was always the point.

If I was him, Chelsea wouldn’t be a place I’d like to go. Look at Sterling since going there. Plus the manager there lives on a knife edge and could be gone before the end of the season. I’d rather go Spuds than there.

The gap in quality to step up is massive, kinda shocked any make it from EDS to Pep standards.

Makes sense that City would accept £45m. Think it's a huge offer for a player like Palmer. What doesn't make sense is why he thinks there's less competition at Chelsea. Doubt he gets into the starting XI there.
Never scored a PL goal

And the way Sterling has started for them this season he has no chance of replacing him.

And despite a very underwhelming start, Mudryk looks a player.
