He is going at £50m.we will have something solid within hours. It will be done by looks of itI feel like £45m-£50m for a fringe player (let’s be honest) is too good to turn down, even factoring in our lack of depth. If we could get a sell on percentage clause too, even better. The journos are also reporting that Palmer is open to leaving and has been all summer. Pep even alluded to that too recently.
I agree although I suppose the writing on the wall was the Doku signing. I honestly don’t know what fans expect - do they expect a 21 yr old kid to be world class straight away and if he isn’t then he can piss off? It takes time and experience for players to develop and I hoped he might have kicked on a bit.Would be gutted if we sold Palmer. I would get him wanting more opportunities but Chelsea don't offer that. He'd be further away from playing than he is with us, where we have more competitions to play in and a thinner squad.
I rate him incredibly highly, I think his footballing intelligence is huge. To do some of the things he does at his age shows just how good he could be and with a good run of games I think we'd all be calling for him to start regularly.
If he didn't want to go and get first team football it wouldn't make sence , however that's not the case , I don't think for his playing career Chelsea is the right choice I honestly can't see him playing many more minutes there than he would with us . However to get £45 for a want away player with his limited experience is food business. Personally I would have hoped he would have waited for his opportunity hereThis has annoyed me, why are we open to selling one of our talented players... Especially to Chelsea.
This just doesn't make sense.
I dont think that's accurate. What on earth is Chelsea's grand plan here?
1 player out, 2 players in. I assumed Poch would want a focused and leaner squad.
They live in a parallel universe which turns sense into non-sense.Where the fuck do people get this kind of shit from ?
