Cole Palmer

Any time they've come up against a half-decent team they've been shocking and Palmer's been virtually anonymous. A good player, not a great one, who wouldn't be solving our problems if he'd stayed.
When Chelsea played the Champions of Europe a few weeks ago they were not shocking, and Palmer certainly wasn't anonymous.

A fantastic naturally talented player, who we could certainly have used this season.Palmers early season progress after taking the brave step of moving to West London bodes well for his future.

Your entitled to your opinion ,but speak to Chelsea fans watching him every week, they won't agree with you.

Well, in hindsight that was dumb.

I think Palmer is further along as a player than Doku is. Certainly in the final third and while Doku has been more good than bad, his inability to stay fit has proven to still be a huge issue.
Inability to stay fit?

Yep. He’s still slow and not particularly great.

Mahrez was a big loss but not this lad.
Slow paced..but..extremely quick thinking....
Very quick to reach 6 goals and 5 assists in his 1st half -season of regular 1st team action in the premier league....

I'd say that any young player capable of reaching those stats in a new team is doing well.If you can't see the obvious unique talent this lad had ,from day one at City......A Fantastic football player, and yes ,he is a loss. His dynamic contribution to his new team would have been appreciated by us this season,if selected...

A tall, languid approach, complimented by a sure 1st touch can often fool some into thinking a player is " not particularly great"

Most Chelsea fans would just say he's been Great.

He's class, but we aren't making guarantees to any player, and he wanted them.
We now move on and, in my opinion, we have an even greater prospect in Oscar Bobb, and I note that Joel Ndala is out with the first team at the World Club Cup, and he is a frightening talent. I hope that Cole Palmer achieves what he is capable of because it is another reflection of the strength of our academy and club.

He's playing in a sketchy, mid-table Chelsea team & is standing out amongst a poor bunch. Amongst our elite level players, he was distinctly average, & the odd Hollywood goal here & there didn't mask that.

He had his chance to impress playing at the very highest level with City last season, & failed to stake a claim for a regular spot. To then start asking for game time guarantees or he wanted out, is taking liberties.

He's gone & isn't coming back & City have moved on. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Agreed.
