I would. A little bit.

It works both ways. We can't be all 'we want to see him in the first team, we'd rather him than a new signing, give youth a chance, save millions on replacing a world class player' and then 'oh wellif he wants more minutes he should go'. He also has to be patient, take his chances and look to break through. Any incoming player would be coming into the same position, would have to earn their minutes. No reason for him not to think the same.
