It's not as if very many of us did not want to sell Palmer. His talent was always evident. But did anyone think he was this good!
There were lots who were sad to see him go, myself included. It's not as if very many of us did not want to sell Palmer. His talent was always evident. But did anyone think he was this good!
The other club (and the player) have to agree to that, if we had managed to get one in then the fee we got would have been less and people would moan about that instead.Tricky one this, we got good money for him snd he obviously the star of an average club, but would he have had the same impact at City? Doubt it personally. But we should have built in a buy-back clause
Trying to think of a player from the past who he reminds ofHe never looked as comfortable playing for us than he does for Chelsea. He's a Maverick who needs the freedom of the pitch to produce his best. He was never going to get that same level of freedom with us.
Him & Luiz v Phillips & Nunes. Can't believe we sold him
