... He literally played for the best team on the planet and never got anywhere near these numbers. He still wouldn't be getting near them now.

minutes here and there - not a proper run of course - it's very different playing like that as he alluded to - ''you just don't want to make a mistake'' he said ..well along these lines. Foden was the same - couple of years on, Foden drifting in taking more responsibility...what a forward line in a few years - Foden and Palmer, cycling number 10 and wide roles...if only McAtee could have pushed on...I would love to see a team half full of local lads

Personally, I’d rather see my team win the league than have the top scorer in the league play for my team

Still a mistake selling out a productive homegrown player, a double mistake selling to a rival.

Fair play. He’s had a bloody good season personally. As long as he forgets his boots at Wembley, and Erling pull away again in the golden boot race, it’s worked out for everyone.
