No way would he have had the same trajectory at City as he has at Chelsea.
He is the best in their group. He is mid-level in ours.
We work in a very strict team ethos. Chelsea are looking for (relying on) individual brilliance.

He doesn't fit a Pep system!

Pep tried for years and couldn't get it working. So maybe Pep is right.. after all what would you have?

But Pep didn’t try for years to make it work. Almost all of Palmer’s starts for us were as a false 9 or on the right. Imagine if at the end of Savinho’s third season he’d only had a handful of games (all out of position) - would you say that Pep had tried to get it to work?

Of course he wanted to get more game time, but he was open to a loan move. Both can be true. The sooner he moves to Spain the better.
