Cole Palmer

With that talent = yes.. We haven't got a free kick taker as technically proficient as him either - will run Haaland for Pens as well. We are kissing ourselves if we don't believe he would make out=r current team better! Ok Pep would have adapted the system to suit, but Pep is great at accommodating good players - and he chases back for Chelsea too before we get all that
You are Palmer’s agent and I claim my free PR voucher!

At least, I hope that is the case, otherwise your obsession is slightly concerning.

I like Bobb but he’s no where near the level of Palmer. Hell, there were comments on here last season saying Doku was better than Palmer.

They're totally different types of players but Bobb has a ridiculous ceiling; think your comment does him a disservice

He wanted to leave , suck it up ffs
That's not exactly the real story.

He wanted to go on loan to gain playing time and Pep said: either you stay or you go, but under no circumstances are we going to loan you . He spoke about it on several occasions with a lot of sadness.

We shouldn't be afraid to say that Pep totally screwed up on this one.

Oscar Bobb at city looks better than Palmer at city . Palmer never looked the world beater when he was here .The mistake of the club was to sell him when we could have just loaned him out .

Excellent player

The reality is he didn't have the ambition or desire to stay and prove he could break into our team as a regular. He must've had a look around and not had 100% belief he was capable of proving himself alongside the calibre of players we have.

I prefer players who want to fight for a place here.

Yes he's looking a real player but there's a lot of good players out there, we can't have them all. He made his mind up that he wasn't prepared to show the fight needed to get into the city team, so we rightly sold him. Now he's a regular starter in an easier situation, good for him, that's what he wanted.

I did realise the irony of me posting and almost commented on that myself. Anyway I'm doing it again ! But to your point this will be my last post on the thread.

I can assure I'm not bitter about anything, I support City so being bitter about anything at this time would seem to be churlish (rags excepted). I wish the lad well other than when he plays against us or his doing well would impact us negatively.

The bit I'd disagree with is that any true football fan would want to keep track of his progress. I'm a City fan and I've never really got the culture of actively following other clubs players in here unless they are transfer targets which seems to be unlikely here. If that makes me a bit one eyed then so be it.

But my point was less about that and more the fact that the thread isn't really about Palmer as a player it's just descended into points scoring and circular arguments. So I'm happy to improve the situation and offski. If it turns into a thread for people to simply show love to Palmer it'll have a purpose albeit one I don't really get.
so this is your last post on the Cole Palmer Thread then. Rip ; )

Nope. You can not say he wasn't prepared to fight to get into the 1st team.
He sat on the bench for us 67 times pal.
Think about it,, your a great player with unique skills, you know your good enough to play premier league football...and you sit on the bench 67 times.........I don't think any one can consider Palmer to lack courage or fight.....Just look at what he has done in moving to a complete
y different setting, and hit the ground running with consistent performances....in the best league in the world. That shows courage fight determination and ...desire...to exhibit his skills week in week out
as a Professional Footballer.
Which he has done.
Well played Cole Palmer.

And we should be reminded that Kaz 7 simply repeats Mantra, obeys orders and would easily be mistaken for an employee of the club.
