He was an academy graduate being played out of position on the left. He was never getting minutes in the middle or on the right competing against Foden, De Bruyne, Mahrez and Bernardo. That’s why he left. You could say it was bad timing but buying Doku and letting Palmer leave was a fuck up but its done now.Palmer is currently a stand out performer in a team that is winning nothing.
Before that he was an average player in a team winning everything.
