Phil has won the world cup already , aside from that he will never have the medals phil has . As for england , he is a blue and gets overlooked for the golden boys at the timeSadly, I think he'll end up having a far better international career than Foden ever will.
Phil was seen as one of England's greatest ever, yet I doubt he'll ever be as effective as Palmer on the international stage.
How many more times, palmer did not have the patience to wait for his time here , phil had to wait and has been handled very well, he was unhappy ,he left , the endThe club must be regretting this now. We’ve lost a 80-100 million local lad, who could have been the future of the club. We now have an ageing, injury prone de bruyne and Doku and Savinho who aren’t anywhere near as good on the wing.
I keep hearing he wouldn’t have got the same freedom or chances at city. Surely that’s on pep, to see that potential and trust him to play more. Why couldn’t the club see this? He didn’t have to start every game either.
It feels like we’ve gone for short term profit and forgotten about the long term. It’s similar with selling Alvarez.

Absolutely, maybe because he plays with way more confidence and guile...there was an interview with both Palmer and Foden when at City - I sensed Palmer thought he was technically better than Foden and that IF given the length of bedding in as Phil had he would smash it...Chelsea are now the benefactors...in spadesSadly, I think he'll end up having a far better international career than Foden ever will.
