Cole Palmer

He's been around the squad long enough to know, very few of our players have that guarantee.
Even if he goes somewhere else, unless he drops a division, i doubt he'll get that anyway.

He's training everyday with the best team in the world and he's still got a lot to learn, so i think it would be best for all that we keep him for now, then see where we are in January.
Agreed but he has to look after his own career and at this stage he needs to be playing.

He may feel like a small step back will long term be more beneficial to him.

When you watch the documentaries of Allison and Swales circa 1979 they both look batshit crazy, thrashing around and lurching from one crisis to another like the two egotistical maniacs they both were - with delusions of competence…. You wouldn’t hire either of them to run a bath… no wonder we squandered millions and went into terminal decline. A very dark era for the club.

Swales without Allison would not have wreaked as much havoc. Allison without Swales would not have wreaked as much havoc. But where you needed a bit of a madman with Captain Sensible, you had two madmen. Result = havoc squared.

(By the way, anyone know how to type superscript numbers on here? Just spent fifteen minutes trying to work out if I had that option, rather than writing it out in letters.)

dude what about what franny lee and that ginger puped little fscker Alan Ball did to us.fyi the only thing franny lee did any good on was signing Kinkladze.Franny Lee signed him after watching Wales play Georgia and Kinkladze scored from 35 yards out and it convinced Franny Lee to sign him.

Him staying makes perfect sense for depth imo considering we play with 2 wingers, 2 attacking midfielders, 2 controlling midfielders.

The team perfectly will have 3 options for 2 spots, with extra cover from versatile players.

3 wingers: Grealish, Doku, Palmer

3 attacking mids: Foden, Bernie, Alvarez

3 control mids: Rodri, Kova, Nunes

9 players for 6 spots.

With Bobb, McAtee and Lewis for cover to make it 12 in 6 spots.

This is perfect depth in that the 9 will play ALOT and the other 3 can handle sub minutes, injury cover etc.

Most importantly he’s made the step up in his performances, he carries on playing like this and he’ll get loads of games.

Allison with Mercer was perfect. But Allison wanted to be top dog and ruined it and as they say the rest is history. Allison couldn't help himself.
