I think Palmer is and will be a brilliant player, could have been KDB`s understudy, but even a KDB carrying an injury worked harder than Palmer, and that is his flaw which the Chelsea manager, being a total thug/animal will break. City letting him go to Chelsea was the best thing we could do for the development of the player, it is for this that City should be lauded, and maybe just maybe when or if Palmer puts right his failing he could come back.

Whether he was EVER going to be a regular starter in a Pep team that values possession over anything except goals? Not sure about that, and £42M was a big sum of money for a current luxury squad member.

I got back from Saturday's match and watched the Newcastle game v Chelsea, Palmer's contribution was virtually zero.Having watched Cole develop through various age groups at the Academy ,my view, is that £40 million plus for some one who didn't want to stay is good business.

Or being able to absolutely skin fullbacks like Doku can. Palmer is skilful but lacks the burst of pace or strength to consistently beat fullbacks unlike Jezza

The hype about him after our match was way over the top. Motm from sky was nearly as ridiculous as Trent against us on Saturday. The best player on the pitch that day was clearly Sterling. Obviously didn’t suit the narrative with sky though so it went to the kid we’d more recently sold.
