Cole Palmer

What's the point moaning about it then?
What moaning? It’s a valid point to think we might regret selling one of the best young players in Europe.

We spent what 60m on Doku who isn’t half as good on the wing and we’re relying on a injury prone De Bruyne.

Can we not question the clubs transfer policies at times?

Who said that?

I think people just don't like having an ex players thread bumped every time they score.
We've only just stopped hearing about Mahrez and Cancello.
Sancho will be next.
Numerous posters on this thread who have said it’s time to move on or lock the thread. I think this one is slightly different, with how talented he is.

He’s become one of the best young players in Europe, so naturally people will want to talk about him or think what if.

I regret losing sane and jules but we made good money and we move on . In our wildest dreams we could not have forseen the injury and illness crisis
Would have to disagree with that. The cracks were already evident in the spring, we knew that most players would play throughout the summer, and we thought we could paper over them by bringing back someone who would turn thirty-four in a couple of months.

Only because he is doing well, he was only potential when we sold him, pep didnt fancy him so it was best for both of
Way more than potential Kaz... anyone who played the game could see the kid was special - he was a standout at junior int'l level for YEARS...lots of experienced FA coaches recognised that as well as our amazing academy coaches (Wilcox etc) ....it was clear to me and others that every time he played you could say something very valuable..his scanning way before the ball arrives, body position...touch like water that knowledge of where to take the spin off, pace off etc... all of that was clearly evident AND to me that's more than just potential.. but i was moaning on here the day i heard we were selling him.. I thought we could build a team around him in years to come...mind you I really rat Callum Doyle as well, great vision..just that yard of pace lacking that niggles me..Lavia...well he was another one really..i know we develop and sell but im not sure that's the best policy...we sell better players than we buy in!!!

How many more times, palmer did not have the patience to wait for his time here , phil had to wait and has been handled very well, he was unhappy ,he left , the end
He did have the patience and was happy to wait for his time in the first team. He wanted to do that by going out on loan so he’d be more ready for first team when he came back from the loan (think it was going to be Burnley under Kompany for a season).

Going out on loan when you’re young at a big club is a very normal thing to do. It’s not like it was unprecedented.

I think both City and Palmer are equally to blame over it, neither had the wider vision and understanding to come to a compromise. I can imagine from the way Palmer speaks and the way Pep understands English sometimes, that there may have been a lack of articulation from Palmer and a lack of understanding from Pep.

Pep wanted him to be a City player, Palmer wanted to be a City player, he ended up not being a City player. Very frustrating!

Everybody saying it was a mistake selling, Well if somebody does not listen to Pep's advice and demands a first-team place does not belong at Manchester City

Ok stands out as a talent but knocking in pens flatters him because his name is on the score sheet, He does go missing for loads of games and that is why he is not the finished article.
