13 goals is a decent return. He's doing himself and our academy proud.I compared his penalties scored record vs other prominent players in the league last season.
Palmer 22 league goals (9 penalties scored, 0 missed)
Salah 18 league goals (5 penalties scored, 2 missed)
Haaland 27 league goals (7 penalties scored, 1 missed)
Saka 16 league goals (6 penalties scored, 0 missed)
Son 17 league goals (2 penalties scored, 0 missed)
Penalties removed;
Palmer 13 goals
Salah 13 goals
Haaland 20 goals
Saka 10 goals
Son 15 goals
Annoyingly turning out to be a gem.13 goals is a decent return. He's doing himself and our academy proud.
Unfortunately not for us ;(13 goals is a decent return. He's doing himself and our academy proud.
Ok, I admit I hadn't been keeping up with Chelsea games so I wasn't aware of how well he has progressed, I take back what I said about him in my previous posts. I just watched a 16 minute highlight video, and the guy moves the ball like someone who is 170cm height, but he is 186cm.. it makes zero sense, usually players with his height don't have the centre of gravity to play football like that, turning at speed and change of direction and ability to take on defenders. He can read the game and pass the ball like he is prime KDB and can also score spectacular goals. The crazy part is he is only 22 years old, and Chelsea have him under contract until 2033. Pep really messed up big time by not giving him game time or sending him on loan. The fact he started playing like this immediately at Chelsea, shows that we have some big gaps in our system when it comes to identifying and retaining talent.
This is the highlights that made me change my mind on him
