Colin Bell RIP - Ian Cheeseman interview with Jon Bell (P142)

I was brought up in Cadishead (along the A57 the other side of Eccles) but my Aunty Olive lived just off Claremont Road. She lived just around the corner from a pub which I think was called The Sherwood. Aunty Olive had 5 kids in a house which was literally a 2 up 2 down with the toilet in the garden ( this was around 1967). My Mum could never understand why I was always so keen to spend part of my school holidays there, but I used to spend hour after hour sat outside Maine Road collecting autographs. I saw Colin play many times but one of my abiding memories was getting his autograph outside Maine Road. Sad news.

Oh no. Absolutely gutted.

My Dads favourite player. Watched hundreds of videos and clips when younger of him.

Absolutely legend. R.I.P the King.
