Colin Bell RIP - Ian Cheeseman interview with Jon Bell (P142)

Had the pleasure of spending some time in his company and my estimation of him went up even more , a gentleman in the true sense of the word. I have no doubt he will be watching and willing us on tomorrow . Condolences to his family , RIP KING

RIP Colin

Only saw him play a few times after he came back from injury. My mum tells me that when I was a nipper and she took me out in the pram around Whitworth Park, on more than one occasion he was out there training on his own and would say ‘hi’.

I did meet him years later at the Bell-Waldron and he was a gent.

So sad, a fantastic player and nice man, very shy and never seemed to get how much we completely adored him as a player.
