I second that i am 56 and seen all his career at city , he was cruely robbed of a fantastic career

He HAD a fantastic career but was robbed of the latter part by a scumbag.

for me easily the greatest ever player to play for us so far.
a proper legend , box to box , great passer, great shot with both feet, gentleman on and off the pitch
and truly modest

i remember his comeback game v newcastle boxing day 1977,still brings a tear to the eye that 1,1-0 at half time an he came on as sub for the 2nd half,im sure its the longest standing ovation in history,it lasted the whole of the 2nd half, the newcastle fans who as we all no are a noisy bunch just stood there in amazment at the noise for the gr8 man himself,we went on to win 4-0,truly an emotional day

without doubt the best player i've ever seen in a city shirt. a true sportsman as well as a fantastic player. i can't ever remember him getting booked. his career was cruelly curtailed by a rag, the same as glyn pardoe.

It was indeed although 0-0 at HT. One of my earlier memories of a classic City moment,

LOL just done corporate in legends lounge today and the great man was there. and i told the same story as a 13 yr old, again in the platt lane, ive never heard noise like it when he came on as sub. And colin bell says himself his greatest ever moment playing football was THIS including winning the league, fa cup and 40 odd caps for england
