i remember his comeback game v newcastle boxing day 1977,still brings a tear to the eye that 1,1-0 at half time an he came on as sub for the 2nd half,im sure its the longest standing ovation in history,it lasted the whole of the 2nd half, the newcastle fans who as we all no are a noisy bunch just stood there in amazment at the noise for the gr8 man himself,we went on to win 4-0,truly an emotional day

Ooooooooooh, had he come on at half-time today! 0-0 today, that wouldn't have stood! What score had CB come on at half-time. I reckon we would have triple the first half score and repeated last seasons FT score - 6-0

A true gentleman & football legend, & in a version of the above song one miserable away game at wolves in the early 80s (I think it was the south bank we stood in?) the song went on so long he even became the coach driver.

I second that i am 56 and seen all his career at city , he was cruely robbed of a fantastic career
