He's not brilliant though is he. Coloccini. Hardly fires up the excitement! With the amount of money we have and the fact we're champions, surely we can do better than that?

For the record I'd much rather we kept it how it is, developing the likes of Boyata, if or when Vincent/Lescott get injured/banned we can have Toure as that experienced backup and or Boyata/Savic to aide in their development.

Let's not forget Micah can play at CB aswell, well has infact been put in as CB this season when Mancini has wanted to close a lead towards the end of matches.
if Kompany gets a ban, start Micah in at CB and Zabaleta at RB.

Coloccini is a decent CB, but I'm all for giving youth a chance.... bringing in players all the time doesn't encourage the next youth stars to join our club as they will know they won't get the chance.

My personal view is that we should not be buying any players aged over 27 unless they are on a free or world class.

Much better to buy 22/23 and develop them and have some re-sale or longivity (i.e. can be at City for the next 10 years)
This model has worked for Man U and we need to do the same.

Unfortunately Coloccini does not fall into these categories.

And for this reason, i'm out!!

He won't be cheap and why would he come to us as a backup. For me the whole Coloccini thing is a non starter and hope it stays that way.
